１９８３年、魚座、東京都杉並区生まれ、オランダ在住。
絵描き、タトゥーアーティスト。一児の母。
幼少期から絵と音楽に興味を示す。
吹奏楽やバンド活動をしながら都内の高校のデザイン科を卒業後、渡英。
２００６年、バックパッカーとして世界を周る。
帰国後は東京のタトゥースタジオ勤務を経て、２０１１年、震災を機にネパールへ渡る。
それから２０１５年までタトゥーや絵と共に各国を周り、
近代デザインから古代の神秘まで、あらゆる刺激を受ける。
一番最初の絵本の記憶、幼心にも衝撃を受けたディック・ブルーナが住んでいた街、
オランダ・ユトレヒトに２０１６年から活動拠点を定め、アトリエ サカナグモをはじめる。
作風は空想画。
絵を描くことは、自身の安心を得るものであり、日々の視点を変える手段であり、 そこには目に見えないものも目に見えるものも含め、心地よく存在する世界が広がっている。
幼少期から途切れることなく常に音楽を携え、音楽の持つ力を受けとり、拡げ、絵にのせる。
音楽と電車通学の車窓から見えた雲、音楽と家の屋上に寝そべり眺めていた雲、
それらの雲と音楽が合わさった時間たちが、難しい時期を支えてくれていたことから、
心が落ち着くモチーフ、心地のよい雰囲気として、描く絵の世界にたくさん登場する。
好きなことは音の間で踊ること、
自転車に乗って音楽を聴くこと、
体が喜ぶ美味しい食べもの、
一人で、誰かと、いい時間だなと思うこと。
Born in 1983 under Pisces, in Suginami, Tokyo, I now reside in the Netherlands. I am an artist, a tattooist, and a mother.
From a young age, I was drawn to both art and music.
After graduating from a design course at a high school in Tokyo while participating in wind ensemble and band activities, I moved to the UK.
In 2006, I traveled the world as a backpacker. After returning to Japan,
I worked in a tattoo studio in Tokyo before relocating to Nepal in 2011 following the earthquake. Between then and 2015, I traveled to various countries, creating tattoos and paintings, absorbing inspiration from both modern design and ancient mysticism.
The earliest memory of a picture book, the impact of the world where Dick Bruna, whose work deeply affected me as a child, lived—these things eventually led me to Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 2016, where I established my artistic base and started Atelier Sakana Gumo.
My style is one of fantasy. To me, creating art is a way to find peace, to shift the perspective of daily life, and to create a world where both visible and invisible things comfortably coexist. Since childhood, music has always accompanied me. I embrace the power of music, expand it, and embed it into my paintings.
The clouds I watched from the window of the train during my daily commute, the clouds I gazed at while lying on the rooftop of my house—all of these moments, woven together with music, supported me during difficult times.
They became motifs of peace, and the sense of calm and comfort they offer appears often in the world of my art.
Things I love include dancing to the rhythm of sound, riding my bike while listening to music, enjoying delicious food that makes my body rejoice, and savoring good moments, whether alone or shared with someone.
